Turns out, in recent released Windows 10 Builds, Microsoft has made this re-connect option much like what it works on smart devices. I also wish this can be fixed or improved in Windows 10. Hope this helps those who are struggling with the same issue. To make things easier, you can create a shortcut of the Sound applet on your desktop. The trick works on both Windows 7 and Windows 8 / 8.1 computers.
Now since we know where it is, the time for stupidly removing and repairing is finally over, for good. That’s where the Connect button is, though apparently in the wrong place. Right-click one you want to connect, and select Connect. If you have Bluetooth headsets paired successfully before, you will see them listed in the Sound dialog box. On Desktop, right-click the speaker icon in the system tray and go to Playback devices. The main problem is, there is no Connect Button in Bluetooth settings window that allows me to simply reconnect my headset.įor the longest time, I had to stupidly remove device and re-pair it with my Surface whenever I want to use it. I paired my headset without issue on my tablet but always have difficulty to reconnecting it after the headset has been paired with other devices.
But sometimes I also connect it with my Surface tablet as well. I have a pair of Bluetooth stereo headset paired mostly with my iPhone.
