Laos have spent most of this part fighting a guerilla war in the jungle against the Malaccans, but have finally come up with a diplomatic solution to this mess. However, when they tried to peace out they were immediately in trouble: Malacca appears to have been enjoying watching the bloodshed and were outraged to hear about the peace deal! So outraged, that they immediately declared war on Laos for their cowardice. In part 2, Laos declared war on Vietnam a second time, which turned out to be another huge waste.
